While most of the media is focused on the multimillion dollar investments into algae technology made by the government and big oil, everyday people are making important contributions to the cause as well. This video, by Michael Fischer of Stanford University, demonstrates a simple design of a photobioreactor made from recycled plastic bottles.
We would love to hear of similar attempts out there! Do you have a backyard system? Please feel free to brag about your handiwork!
